This has to be one of the top five traditional Mexican spots for me. The drinks were incredible and the food absolutely outstanding. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, conveniently located around a lot of hotels and businesses which makes us an ideal spot for happy hour events. I definitely will be adding this to my list of stop in spots when I’m back in Denver.
We really loved our dinner here. Our server wasn't super outgoing, but he was prompt with drink refills and took good care of us. Loved the steak fajitas! Also loved the homemade flour tortillas, the salsa, and the chili Verde. The decor is really nice and the whole place has a good vibe.
You can just never go wrong with the fajitas from La Loma! My absolute favorite. I always get green chile on the side. The service is excellent and friendly... and there’s always leftovers to take home for at least least two meals!
Had a great dinner at La Loma. The fajitas came out sizzling and were very good. Great guacamole,.however for 14 I would expect something a little larger. 3 of us took it down rather quickly. It would not be enough for 4. Should be a larger portion given the price. House margarita had.good flavor and was decently strong. Server was a little bit of a miss. He seemed like he was annoyed we were there. Never asked if we wanted another drink or needed anything. Very nice looking inside the restaurant.
We got there shortly after they opened for lunch and the place packed in fast! Service was fast and the food was amazing! Unfortunately we had to work so we weren't able to drink any alcohol. We had the mexican street tacos, flautas, and pick 2 - taco and enchilada with half green and half red sauce.
With more than 4,400 positive reviews, I doubt that I have much to add. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the waitstaff are friendly and attentive, and most importantly the food is very, very good. The chips and salsa were tasty. We arrived in time for happy hour so we ordered margaritas on the rocks and frozen. The amount of tequila was generous. Our table also ordered the happy hour appetizers. They arrived piping hot. For our entrees, we ordered the Carne Guisada, the Anniversary Plate, and a burrito. The burrito was topped with chili and served with rice and beans. The Anniversary Plate included a stuffed sopapilla, chili rellano, and chicken flauta topped with guacamole, sour cream, and the restaurant’s famous green chili sauce. The restaurant is popular so reservations are a good idea. Highly recommend!
Downtown Denver never disappoints and this Mexican place was BY FAR phenomenal! Still drooling over the food we ate. Outstanding service for being a busy Sat night. We got the shared fajita- fresh and flavorful toppings and juicy chicken. Salsa and guacamole top tier 10/10 recommend this restaurant when visiting Denver. We will be back soon
In the heart of downtown Denver right next to the Brown Palace. Place is a bit upscale from your traditional Mexican joint, but it has character for being downtown. I didn't have a reservation at dinner time, but the hostess was nice and advised 20 mins was reasonable, and she was very nice in keeping an eye for earlier seating. Started with the chips and salsa. Great salsa then went with the guacamole, was delicious. I had the Mexico City Street Style Tacos with carnitas, and they did not disappoint. The house Margarita was delicious and well balanced. Rice and beans are very authentic. Server Nick was attentive, knowledgeable, and courteous . Great place for Mexican food if you are downtown. Parking challenging and traffic can be a hassle but worth it
